♥ Mama KG ♥
To paraphrase Webster a bit, a gardener is "a person who is engaged in the development... of [fruits, vegetables, & flowers]." Since this blog (and our daily lives) is primarily devoted to the development of our Kumquat, I believe that makes her parents Gardeners. Kumquat Gardeners to be exact. In the interest of privacy (ironic on a blog all about our lives, right?) I will refer to myself as Mama KG & to my hubby as Daddy KG (or DKG).

As for myself, I'm very fortunate to be married to a wonderful man who is truly a partner in all things... especially tending to our growing Kumquat. I'm a mental health therapist, but at the moment I'm just focused on the growth and well-being of my little girl.

DKG is my awesome hubby and fellow Gardener. He works hard to take good care of his girls and I am so thankful to have him as my partner in this gardening endeavor. We've been together since college and married for 7 years. We've had many adventures over the years, lived in 6 different states, and still love the chance to hang out with each other. He is kind, generous, funny and just adores his little girl. I truly love him more and more each day.

Growing What?

Throughout our pregnancy with the baby girl, we received emails comparing her size to various fruits and vegetables... many of which we'd either never heard of or never seen. We thought some of them were pretty amusing and began calling her "The Kumquat." Now that she's here, this blog is a way for us to share our family adventures as our little Kumquat continues to grow.

Our sweet Kumquat is growing so quickly! She's a joyful baby girl who is embracing being 3 years old and keeps her mama on her toes. She's running, climbing, chatting, singing, playing, & dancing all over our little garden.
