Look What I Found!

The good news: The Kumquat is now doing the sign for "food" or "eat." Very helpful since she's just been signing "more" (which looks an awful lot like "ball" and "shoe") to tell me she's hungry (or so I've guessed).

The bad news: She has made another discovery so conveniently located near her mouth. And I'm sure her big cousin had absolutely nothing to do with this whatsoever!

  1. LOL!!!! Sorry Mama KG, but I'm happy to see that last photo, now at least I know my kid isn't the only one who discovered that too!! haha! Oh, and thanks to some mama's in our group, I've also started teaching a few signs to my little guy. So far, we've only worked on "eat" and "more". He's got "more" down but he'll just sign eat (with slurping sound effects, even) whenever I ask if he's hungry. Half the time I know he isn't even hungry though, so he's just copying me. ;)

  2. What a cutie! Did you happen to take a class in for signing or just teach her off of books/videos/online/etc. ? I am very interested in signing with my daughter so I thought I would ask ;)

  3. We use the Baby Signing Time DVD's and I truly can't say enough positive things about them. We just have the first 2 and they truly are her favorite thing to watch. They have a little cartoon frog that she just adores. We (well, I) also sing the little songs throughout the day, which seems to help her put it all together. I have to admit that I was a bit of a signing skeptic at first, but I'm all about it now! I really was surprised at how much she learned so easily. And Hopkins the Frog has been my savior during many a meltdown!
